Our Story

This is how our story goes…

One night my wife surprised me with a date night. Normally, we would have a hard time with date nights because it's the same stuff in these towns. This night turned out to be different and before I knew it we were heading south on the Interstate. She was able to surprise me with a concert of my man crush, Walker Hayes. (If you haven't heard of him, please look him up- his songs are amazing and his own life story is inspiring.)

We get to Portland to a place that looked like a church service was about to happen, but low and behold Walker Hayes walked out on stage. It was an amazing concert, but she wasn't done. She had another surprise for me which was to go to an axe throwing place. I was blown away that something I love to do is actually available at a different level. This brought me back to growing up Splittin’ Wood, running the fireplace, (oh, how I miss that smell!) and just throwing axes all the time at the trees for fun. Going to the axe place brought back so many memories while we were there. I was thinking the whole time how much I would love to own my own business like this.

These types of businesses are often controversial, even though their axes are actually really safe, as long as you are coached correctly. I have been a coach in the Lewiston area for 20 years at many different youth and adult sports, so that part comes easy to me. We really just wanted to bring some new entertainment to these two cities and the surrounding towns of Lewiston-Auburn. We are here trying to make it easier for date night, girls night, and guys night out- minus the long drive home. We hope you enjoy your time with us and leave with a smile on your face and a plan to come back soon.
